Boat Launch Procedure


  • Phone MWM Marina Admin Office on 09 534 8341 at least one hour before your arrival.
  • Quote your full name and rack number to the operator
  • Specify if the boat is to be “Launched” or if the boat is to go onto a “Wash Down Cradle”
  • Ensure your account is up to date (Vessels with account arrears will not be launched)

Before Arrival at Marina - 1

  • Park your car in the long term car park (1 car space per boat available on a first in first serve basis)
  • Baggage trolley's are available 
  • Board your boat via pontoons
  • NO SMOKING within 30 meters of Drystack or berths
  • No vehicles to be driven in front of the drystack racks at any time
  • No admittance to the Drystack Racking Area at any time
  • All children are to be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • Dogs are to be on a leash
  • Display caution whilst around machinery operating area. Please do not approach drivers whilst forklifts are being operated.

2 - Upon Arrival at Marina


On Wash Down Cradle - 4

  • Boat Wash Cradles are to be used for washing only.
  • Place all rubbish in bins provided
  • Notify Forklift driver or administration if your boat needs to be on a service cradle for any longer than one hour.
  • No toxic degreasers or detergents are permitted for use in this area
  • No vehicles to be driven in front of the dry storage building
  • Ensure bungs are left in at all times
  • NO SMOKING within 30 meters of Drystack or berths
  • Check “Returning to Marina” procedures again
  • Inform Forklift driver when boat is ready to be “Returned to Rack”

3 - Returning to Marina

  • Inform Forklift driver if the boat is to remain in the water for the following day or to be returned to the rack.
  • Lower aerials and remove all fishing rods from rod holders.
  • Ensure trim tabs are trimmed up
  • Speedo’s & Transducers must be pulled up
  • Any lights on top of vessel to be lowered
  • Ensure all battery switches are in “Off” or “ISOLATED” position
  • Owners are responsible for washing the inside of their vessel using the fresh water hoses located on the pontoons
  • Outside of operational hours of 8am to 5pm boat’s can be left in water overnight at OWNERS RISK
